YachtAid Global is dedicated to delivering humanitarian, developmental and conservation aid onboard yachts to isolated as well as underprivileged coastal communities worldwide. In times of natural disasters, YachtAid Global has the ability to mobilize and shift resources quickly to provide disaster relief in ways that others have not explored.


What We Do

  • Determining the needs of a particular area that yachts cruise to
  • Sponsoring and/or raising funds to meet the needs
  • Acquiring the goods, resources and supplies to furnish the needs
  • Transporting and distributing the goods to ultimately fulfill the needs

Since founded in 2006, YachtAid Global has:

  • Worked with over three dozen yachts around the world
  • Sourced funding for over thousands of dollars  worth of goods and services
  • Delivered tons of  supplies
  • Helped over 50 different remote and/or underprivileged areas worldwide


How It All Begin – A Message From Our Founder

I get asked all the time how I came up with the concept for YachtAid Global.  Like most ideas, it was the right time, the right idea, fueled by the right people.

I spent 20 years at sea fortunate to be on yachts cruising the remote and undeveloped areas of Mexico, Central America, South America and Southeast Asia.   One of the fondest memories I had of my years at sea was the interaction I had with the locals.  I would be looking for provisions ashore in Roti, seeking medical aid in Cabo, trying to locate a ride to the airport in the Anambas, looking for fishing information in Niue and at the end of the day, it was always the local people who were there to help.  Then one day, I felt it was time to raise my family in one single location ashore.

In 2003 I moved to San Diego and started up C2C, Inc., a port agency business.  We provide a broad spectrum of solutions to luxury yachts.  I had a great desire to stay connected with the communities that I had visited during my years at sea.  As C2C grew, I started exploring ways to exercise corporate responsibility.  However, it was difficult finding a humanitarian organization related to yachts let alone one that would benefit the places that I had visited.  And just like that, in May 2006, I woke up with the answer—create one and name it YachtAid Global.

I now realize that the greater power in all of this is for YAG to be a catalyst to get people thinking and to take action.  You don’t have to be part of a formal process and structured environment, although we are here to help out to whatever level that needs to be done to.  Just get out there and YAG.  If you put your mind to it, there is really no limit to what you can achieve.
